Iran to select bests of children cinema

The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (ICFF) has set to select the bests of 40 years of children cinema in Iran.

The nominated films and cineastes are selected by votes of 120 film critics from more than 200 films. the nominations are as follows:

 

Best Children Film:

'Bashou, Little Stranger' directed by Bahram Beizaei

'Where is Friend's Home?' directed by Abbas Kiarostami

'City of Mice' directed by Mohammad-Ali Talebi and Marzieh Boroumand

'Golnar' directed by Kambozia Partovi

'The Red Hat and Cousin' directed by Iraj Tahmasb

 

Best Youth Film:

'Shame' directed by Kioumars Pour-Ahmad

'Need' directed by Ali-Reza Davoudnejad

'Bashou, Little Stranger' directed by Bahram Beizaei

'The Runner' directed by Amir Naderi

'The Girl in the Sneakers' directed by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli

'I'm Taraneh, 15' directed by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli

'Children of Heaven' directed by Majid Majidi

 

Best Script:

'Where is Friend's Home?' written by Abbas Kiarostami

'Need' written by Ali-Akbar Qazi-Nezam

'Bashou, Little Stranger' written by Bahram Beizaei

Officially started on August 30, the 2018 edition of the ICFF is slated to wrap up on September 5.
